Description

The complex of buildings is proposed to be positioned as an international centre dedicated to business and cultural exchange between China and Russia, as well as a showcase for the achievements of both countries. The MFC includes a congress hall, a business centre, and commercial functions.
The first floor of the congress hall contains the entrance area, security check, registration, cloakroom, technical rooms required for the hall, and a lobby space.
Potential uses for the lobby space include seating for event attendees, the possibility of setting up mobile lecture halls and mini-rooms for events, an exhibition space, and a catering area. On days when no events are taking place in the congress hall, the open-plan lobby on the first floor could be used for short-term "fair-style" formats. A winter garden serves as the transition between the congress hall and the MFC and cuts into the first floor of the congress hall, providing space for food and beverage outlets that can serve both the street and the congress hall.
