Description

The main concept of the public garden is to create an intimate space for family recreation. The design proposal maintains the primary pedestrian connections established in the concept of the 130th Quarter.
Pedestrian flows pass through the garden on two levels: via a footbridge connecting the upper terrace of the Modny Kvartal shopping centre with the conceptual pedestrian axis towards the Parkovy residential quarter, and via a pedestrian ramp from the lower terrace of the shopping centre to the pedestrian crossing towards the Yarkomall shopping centre.
The garden is divided into three main functional zones. The central core and main focal point is a fountain – a recreational space and a gathering place for residents and visitors of the city. The feature consists of two parts: a three-dimensional spatial composition with LED lighting and flowing water jets, and a pedestrian fountain with point lighting of vertical jets that shoot to different heights in time with the accompanying musical composition.
