Description

A multifunctional complex with an apart-hotel. The designed building consists of a single volume divided into two conceptual blocks – a commercial-administrative block and a hotel block. The division is emphasised by the facade finishing materials. The facade finishes are proposed to use travertine and a ventilated composite facade. Travertine is featured on the main facade facing Dzerzhinskogo Street at the second-floor level.
A floating effect is created through the glazing of the ground floor. The upper floors of the commercial-administrative block are finished in white, thus lightening the scale of the structure. The hotel block is finished in warm tones. A deliberate division of the facade creates dispersion and human-scale proportions. The use of glazing of varying rhythm and dimensions on the different blocks, as well as vertical articulation of the plane in the rhythm of window openings, enhances the effect of separating the blocks. Decorative elements on the facade trim echo the neighbouring wooden buildings.
