With the participation of Elena Grigorieva, the chief architect of the concept "The Trade Axis of Irkutsk

The projected area is a fragment of Sofia Perovskaya Street (formerly Matreshinskaya Street) within the boundaries of Bortsov Revolutsii and Baikalskaya Streets. The important thing in the project is to preserve the spirit of the place and accentuate the main features by means of landscaping. The highlight of this place will be the possibility to hold city-wide fairs and festivals on weekends and holidays.

Priority is given to pedestrians as the main participants in traffic. The street section remains one-way for vehicular traffic, the number of lanes is three, one of which is dedicated to public transport.

The concept involves a network of uninterrupted sidewalks with different types of paving. On the even side of the street there are pockets for cars. In order to create a safe environment along the paths of the pedestrians the park lights are planned in line with the development. Concealed sockets are placed in the base of the pylon by the concept to allow connection during public events.
The carriageway is corrected, along it a bicycle path is arranged on an asphalt surface with special markings and highlighting in color.

At the intersection of the streets (at the arrow), the Matryoshinsky public garden is formed. Creating a light installation "Matryoshka" is the embodiment of a multifaith and friendly family.
