The building is situated close to the territory of "Irkutsk quarters", was built in the early XX century and was listed in "The summary list of newly discovered objects of historical, scientific, artistic or other value in Irkutsk — 2000". In spite of the fact that the estate lost its status of a protected object, it remains a valuable element of the historical environment.

Over the years, the building has undergone many changes — there was a second floor, a curtain facade, completely covering the historic one.

The main task was to restore and preserve the historical facade by combining it with a modern superstructure.
